Director of Bands
Mr. Gray is in his 15th year at Aldine HS, 10th as the Director of Bands. He oversees the Wind Ensemble, Mighty Mustang Marching Band, and the Aldine Jazz Band. Since coming to Aldine, the Marching Band has earned first division ratings 11 of the last 13 years, as well as advancing to Area Marching Contest in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2021, and 2022. The Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band has received Superior and Excellent ratings over the last 14 years.

Mr. Gray is a native of Rockwall, Texas and an alumnus of Rockwall High School. He graduated from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2006. While at Texas A&M Commerce he had the privilege of studying trumpet with Bert Truax of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and conducting with Dr. Bradley Kent,
Director of UIL Music.

A resident of The Woodlands, Mr. Gray lives with his wife Katie, two children, Cash and Tinsley, and his dog, Dakota. His professional affiliations include American Band Directors Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, Texas Music Educators Association, International Trumpeters Guild, and Kappa Kappa Psi.

JEREMY GRAY
Associate Director
Mr. Navarrete is a graduate of Aldine Independent School District, where he graduated in the top five percent from Davis High School. Mr. Navarrete received a full ride to attend Texas Southern University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. In his time at Texas Southern University, Mr. Navarrete served as the tuba section leader for the Ocean of Soul Marching Band as well as principal tubist in the university's wind ensemble.
It has been a long term goal and passion for Mr. Navarrete to be able to return to Aldine I.S.D. so that he could be able to provide students from similar backgrounds the opportunity and passion to continue for higher education. He is happy to be returning here to Aldine HS for his 2nd year.
In his freetime, Mr. Navarrete is an avid traveler and loves to spend time with his family and his two Labradors Bruce, Bane and his Pit Bull Terrier Rocky.
Mr. Navarrete is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association and The International Tuba Euphonium Association.
